Joaquín Mollinedo Chocano joined ACCIONA in 2008 and was appointed Chief of Institutional Relations Officer of ACCIONA, in April 2011, responsible for the regulation, institutional relations and media at a corporate level. In October 2016, Mr. Mollinedo took responsibilities on Sustainability and Brand issues at a corporate level.
The career of Mr. Mollinedo has covered both the public and the private sector. Lawyer by training, served in the Public Administration as General Legal and General Secretary of the regional parliaments of La Rioja and La Comunidad de Madrid, as well as Head of Studies of the Consejo General del Poder Judicial.
In the private sector, Mr. Mollinedo was Director of Institutional Relations and Regulation of Amena, Spanish telecommunications company and was subsequently appointed Secretary General of the company, once it was acquired by France Telecom/Orange. After his period in France Telecom/Orange, Mr. Mollinedo, became the General Secretary of Vocento, a Spanish group of communication and media, prior to joining Acciona.
Since June 2020, he has served as President of the Spain-Australia Council Foundation, representing ACCIONA.
