The contract to build this new healthcare facility in Western Australia is valued at 950.6 million Australian dollars
Sacyr and its Australian partner Built have been awarded the contract to develop the new Mandurah Hospital in Western Australia, one of the state's major healthcare infrastructure projects. The project is valued at AU$950.6 million (approximately €580 million) and is part of the regional government's AU$5.5 billion healthcare investment program.
The hospital will be developed by the West Alliance Health Alliance (WAHA), a joint venture between the Western Australian government and Sacyr and Built. The new public hospital will be built adjacent to the existing Peel Health Campus and will address the growing healthcare demand in the Peel region, one of the fastest-growing areas in the state.
This project marks Sacyr and Built's first major contract in Western Australia, combining Built's experience in Australian healthcare infrastructure with Sacyr's technical expertise and international experience. During the pre-development phase, the joint execution model and the use of digital engineering tools accelerated planning and improved project coordination.
Construction will begin in the coming weeks, and the hospital is scheduled to open in early 2029. The project will create more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs and will offer opportunities to subcontractors, suppliers, and local businesses in Western Australia.
