Viana Palace, headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, hosts the 1st Council Foundation board meeting.
This meeting approved the Action Plan, under the presidency of Antonio Garrigues Walker. Later, the Foundation was officially presented before a large audience from the business sector and the government's foreign affairs department.
The ceremony involved the Foundation's president, Antonio Garrigues, Australia's ambassador to Madrid, Zorica McCarthy, the Director-General for North America, Asia and the Pacific, Luis Felipe Fernández de la Peña, and the Director-General of International Economic Relationships and Energy Matters, José Eugenio Salarich.
The presentation highlighted the Foundation's value in uniting private interests with Spain's foreign policy. It also underlined the growing interest that Spanish society and businesses have in Australia.
